THE VALUEPLUS BUSINESS SIMULATION

ValuePlus firms are initially located in different countries. One of the participants’ challenge will be to internationalize their operations and deliver profitable growth to meet financial markets’ expectations. They will have to convince investors of their superior competitive position and their capacity to expand into new businesses. Value creation is the main objective.

All partnerships between firms have to be negotiated. This quite unique feature of the simulation adds to the excitement of the experience and provides participants with an opportunity to confront their mindsets, cultures and develop their negotiating skills.

THE SERVIPAD BUSINESS SIMULATION

ServiSim participants have to manage two very different lines of service: a standard service, and a more customized and sophisticated service. To grow and improve business performance, participants may consider the following strategic moves:

- Outsourcing support activities to low cost locations which could raise quality issues
- Expanding Internationally which entails adapting these services to local demand
- Negotiating Marketing Agreements to sell services in foreign countries through a local partner’s network.
- Forming a Consortium with other companies to bid for international tender offers
- Investing in the development of new technologies through High Tech Ventures
- Growing through Corporate Acquisitions.

Prestige Business Simulation

THE PRESTIGE BUSINESS SIMULATION

Prestige participants are operating in the luxury service industry. Their firm may be located in Asia, Europe or North America. In each region, the market has two unequal segments:

- "Prestige", regrouping the most demanding clients; they have revenues among the highest 5% of the population. They require very high quality, sophisticated, exclusive services: in short, they expect the unexpected.
- "Premium": The next segment constitutes the "Premium market". It is much larger: ten to twenty times the size of the "Prestige" segment. Premium Clients are also demanding, but they are more sensitive to the price they pay for the service they get.

Participants should define a strategy for their company to grow profitably and transform a family business into a financial blockbuster.

Participants will have to:
- achieve operational excellence. Define the company’s marketing mix and enhance the service attractiveness.
- develop the firm’s Brand Power. Nurture the firm’s image in each region as to increase the price that can be charged.
- build the firm’s Brand Status. Leverage up the firm’s artisanship ability into a global company recognized as a reference by customers as well as by the financial community.
